Marie Gabrielle completed her debut CD "Restless Angel" on her indie label "RightFoot Records" in 2006 where she co-produced with producer/engineer Dae Bennett and producer Hugh McCracken at the prestigious Bennett Studios (www.bennettstudios.com). With her warm distinctive vocals, strong guitar playing and slide style, substantial lyrical content and rhythmic intonations, there is a generous mix of solid acoustic/rock instrumentation and a simple old fashioned blues groove. Marie is in the company of some of NY's most elite musicians, including: Hugh McCracken, Dr. John, Christopher Parker, Lorenza Ponce....and many more. She's toured Australia several times including "The Melbourne International Music Festival and has performed and/or shared the bill with: Dr. John, Wyclef Jean, Lucinda Williams, Taj Mahal, Blondie and many more. She has written music for film and television and is currently working on her second CD and producing Indie artists.

“You reap what you sow”. Is a well-known saying, and it’s never been truer than for Marie Gabrielle.

Over the course of her extraordinary career, Marie Gabrielle has established herself as an accomplished vocalist; slide guitarist, performer, songwriter and actor of the highest caliber.

Born and raised in New York City, Marie grew up exposed to many styles of music. As a child her mother gave her 45’s of Aretha Franklin and the Temptations in her Christmas stocking. While her father would listen to everything from the Platters to Frank Sinatra. It was here that the seeds of rhythm were planted in preparation for her interpretive style of acoustic rock and blues. Some of her early influences were B.B. King, Robert Johnson, Lonnie Johnson, Memphis Minnie, Son House, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Lightnin’ Hopkins.

While attending College, where she studied music and theater, Marie began to establish herself in various club scenes from New York City to the San Francisco Bay area and worked part-time at several prestigious NYC recording studios. Where she says: “The real education began”. To her credit, Marie has sung on numerous recording projects, several national television “jingles”, and has shared the bill with such notables as: Taj Mahal, Blondie, The Doors, Lucinda Williams, Gretchen Wilson and many more.

Variety Magazine has written her up as “An excellent interpreter of her own Folk and Blues”. She has toured parts of Europe, Australia and Mexico performing in festivals and various clubs. She has been featured on television shows such as: “Third Watch” and “Spin City” and appeared as a featured guest on Lifetime Television, Good Morning Australia, The Regis Philbin Show, Undercover Australia and several NPR and National Radio Stations.

Most recently, Marie Gabrielle has completed an original arrangement and performance of the “Robert Johnson” song “Ramblin’ on my Mind” for a short film titled: “The Daily Blues”, where she shares the musical bill with Harry Connick Jr., Johnny Lang, and Buckwheat Zydeco. The film was written and directed by Jason Wiles of the Warner Brothers hit television series “Third Watch”. She has also written and performed several songs for the hit Off-Broadway show “Phenomena” starring Belinda Sinclair. (www.belindasinclair.com)
