LOOSE & PT

Hailing from the City of currency Love, a city known for battle rap, big beards, and hustlers ... Loose & PT are a unique blend of appealing style and authentic talent. Club anthems to lyrical intellect, these two blood cousins are a unique representation of Philadelphia'a Hip Hop scene.

As a child Loose (formally known as Loose Canunz) was drawn to the energy that Hip Hop possessed. He began freestyling as early as 2nd grade. A few years later he was introduced to the mixtape genre through a cousin in South Carolina and discovered the artistic genius of Tupac. "Bury Me A G" has been playing ever since and marked the beginning of his versatile career.

In 1998, Loose teamed up with a group known as the Inner City Hustlers. The group consisted of artists such as State Property's Oschino and Omillo Sparks. Inner City Hustler's came to an end in 2001. His love for making music was not waivered, but without direction in the business, he entered the military. He returned to Philadelphia in 2004 and without hesitation entered the studio once again. It was at this time that Loose decided to drop the Canunz from his name in order to appeal to a wider variety of fans and mark his new start.

He teamed up with a producer named Samik aka The Symphony. Born and raised in the Bronx, Samik began DJ'ing at the age of 17, Turntables were just one of the instruments he excelled at. From being a classically trained violinist to a production powerhouse, Samik 's talent is unparalleled and is currently a new member of the major label production team known as The MATRAX. At the time Samik was working with an artist name Kidko Vega. Loose dropped a verse or two on Kidko's project and Samik instantly saw his talent and agreed to work on a solo project with Loose.

During this time, Loose's younger cousin, PT was stating to emerge on the rap scene. In 2001, PT was an aspiring basketball player. But in 2001, his dreams were cut short due to an injury; he made a decision at that time to funnel his energy and passion into Hip Hop. He had loved Hip Hop and was inspired by albums like "Reasonable Doubt" and artists like Tupac, Biggie, T.I., UGK. However, PT only flirted with the idea of rapping until 2001. Originally known as Pretty Thug, PT was given this name because he was getting in trouble but still had a flare for the ladies. As time passed Pretty Thug became known as PT.

The military, a basketball injury, evidence that sometimes things happen for a reason. Fortunately these two artists were brought together began collaborating under Samik. They three soon after formed the independent label Business As Usual Ent. (BAU) in 2005. Their first commercial project was their debut album entitled "Night & Day" released in 2008. It was quickly followed by the critically acclaimed mixtape "Champagne & Bullets Vol. 1", released in the spring of 2009 hosted by DJ RawSkillz.

Now in 2009, they have released the popular single "Serious", the lead track off their next album "The Big Deal". Their lyrics tell the story for their future, "We're making the picture clear. The revolution is here".
