Lisa Thurman's original songs are an inspiring mix of eclectic Americana, roots, folk, and rock with catchy melodies, uplifting instrumentals and intriguing lyrics. The music features cello, banjo, violin, and mandolin, however, with electric guitar and durms, some songs take on more of a rock sound. Lisa Thurman

Lisa Thurman, singer-songwriter, has had a successful year of writing and recording original songs. She is promoting the new CD, ‘Santa Fe’, fulltime.
She grew up singing in chorus, having spent her formative years in the Mississippi Delta and Appalachian Mountains. She was influenced by both delta blues and mountain music.
In college, she played guitar and sang in coffee houses. At that time, she had enough material to record an album, but pursued academics and social work for a number of years. She has a Doctorate in Holistic Health Sciences.
In the regionally performing group, Blackberry River Band, she is the lead vocalist and she plays guitar and percussion.
