Lesley Curtis BIOG

Musical influences include Joan Baez, Bob Dylan & Aretha Franklin. Lesley fronted a variety of duos, trios & bands focusing on traditional & contemporary music. Her solo career blossomed by producing a successful three girl song and dance cabaret show called ‘The Lesley Curtis Affaire’. During this period she started to experiment with song writing.
In 2002 Lesley was asked to star in a theatre show ‘A Musical Tribute to Eva Cassidy’ - an honour she was delighted to accept already being a great fan of Eva. These shows have allowed her to explore jazz & blues as well as reviving her love of contemporary & traditional folk music.
In 2003 Lesley released her debut album ‘Shock Delayed’. Written, produced and performed by Lesley, it combines folk, country, rock & gospel music.
In 2006 she has released her 2nd album ‘Music Moves Within Me’ moving, inspirational songs with a contemporary New Age feel. Lesley feels that she has come full circle & has found the right forum to promote her music.
