"Kellsong" - Musician, Composer

As a musician, songwriter, film composer, record producer and music director, Charles Kelly's musical talent developed early as he began taking piano lessons at the age of 7 and trombone at 8. Later, he became a member of the All Philadelphia Boys Choir and various top local bands in the Philadelphia area. In the 1970's Charles toured with Blue Magic and The Platters. In the 1980's, supported by his education at the Temple Univ. in Music Theory and Composition he had the opportunity to work with Stevie Wonder in Sigma Sound Studios. Upon moving to Los Angeles CA. He signed with Wondirection Records owned by Stevie Wonder. During the 1980' he also worked with many other artists such as Neil Diamond, Elton John, Sister Sledge, The Pointer Sisters, Ralph Johnson and Sheldon Reynolds (Earth, Wind and Fire), George Howard, Eddie Murphy, Ndugu Chancler, Nathan East, Ricky Larson, Debbie Allen, Nile Rogers, Lisa Fischer, Sammy Mac Kinney, members of Wonderlove, The Sembello Brothers, and many others. He also was an actor on the TV series Fame.

During the 1990's Charles' focus shifted to film and TV. He worked for The Walt Disney Company from 1993 to 1997. During this period he also worked with writers from ABC Television. This prepared him to create film scores in the early 2000's. He later teamed up with film director Oliver Coltress and scored music for the films "The Lie" and "Whispered Illusions". He is currently working on CD, book and film projects, while serving God as the Praise Band Director for Sunrise Church in Rialto CA. Sunrise Church (which just released its first CD titled "Sunrise Live!") ministers to over 5000 people weekly. Sunrise Worship Arts has hosted and opened for such artists as CeCe Winans, Selah, The Katinas, Salvador, MaryMary and Israel Houghton.
