Background vocalists include Robin Lane, Laurie Sargent, Barbara Kessler, Jimmy Ryan and David Herlihy. The CD was mixed by Fran Flannery, Brian Brown and Mike Deneen.

John recently worked on the Beatles Tribute album From a Window: the Lost Songs of Lennon and McCartney featuring Graham Parker, Bill Janovitz and Kate Pierson as the album's Beatles Historian.
John is also the leader of the band "The POP Stars." Based in the Metrowest area of Boston, The POP Stars is a band comprised of a group of dads who perform original songs about parenthood. The result is a light-hearted and poignant look at fatherhood combined with a Folky "POP" beat that is a guaranteed good time for all and signifies their quest to redefine "POP" music!

The POP Stars

Based in the Metrowest area of Boston, The POP Stars is a band comprised of a group of dads who perform original songs about parenthood. These songs collectively describe their roles and observations on such things as potty training, sleep deprivation, breast feeding, spelling dangerous and divergent words like “cookies”, in laws, unwanted parental advice, familial pressure on procreational activities, spilt milk, and the myriad spectrum of joys and challenges parenthood has to offer. The result is a light-hearted and poignant look at fatherhood combined with a Folky "POP" beat that is a guaranteed good time for all and signifies their quest to redefine “POP” music!
