John DePatie has been a guitarist for more than 20 years. As a member of Nancy Sinatra's band he has performed on recordings, television shows and concert stages across the world. He also performs in the Los Angeles area with his own band as well as with other artists and for the last three years has performed more than 200 times per year.
He was heavily featured on Will Faeber's 2005 release Travel By Stars which featured some of San Diego's top session musicians including guitarist/producer Peter Sprague. Thomas R. Erdmann wrote, "John DePatie's guitar work is exquisite. His perfect solos and background work on Travel By Stars, Play On, and Little T-Bird Ragtop show his ability to perfectly capture an emotion and run with it."

Debbie Hennessey's recently released (July 2006) CD, Good As Gone not only features DePatie's electric, acoustic, 12 string and dobro work, but also two compositions he cowrote with Hennessey and Sunny Hilden.
Though happy to be a sideman DePatie's main emphasis as a musician is as a solo artist. His original compostions span the gamut from classic sounding jazz to 70's funk fusion to more contemporary styles. A typical show will also feature his unique instrumental arrangements of some classic rock and r+b songs by acts such as The Police, Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley.
