Jacob Balderas

Lyrics that tell a story and beats that make the music feel alive illustrate my contemporary Latin-pop style that moves into the heart and soul.

I was raised in the small town of Lamesa, Texas with nothing but cotton fields and my imagination. To help you picture this small town think of something flat and you can understand why Lamesa translates into the Spanish word “la mesa” meaning table. Even though Lamesa did not have a lot to offer it was a place where I learned to appreciate my originality for music. I learned how to play the guitar at the age of 6 and to this day still find it the best way to express who I am and how I feel.

I come from a strong Latino heritage which has helped me become a more versatile musician. From my father teaching me my first guitar chords, singing in talents shows, playing at local cafes, and starting a band that received recognition across Texas help give me the desire to have a life-long music career.

I found connections with artist like Enrigue Iglesias, Bryan Adams, Richard Marx, Sting, and Richie Valens. My goal is for my words and sounds to make a lasting impression.
