I love writing and playing a diverse range of music and songs principally with the acoustic guitar as my main instrument, but focusing on synthesizers when composing and recording electronic and ambient music.
The purely musical compositions I write are what I call Sound Images. They are scenes you can visualise through music. My music has been used on television and media, and I am interested in composing music specifically designed to create a mood, image or feeling for film, tv or other media, or my own releases, using synthesizers and guitar.
I have also written a variety of songs, based largely around the acoustic guitar. The songs vary from ballad types to middle of the road pop/country. I write songs principally for use by other artists looking for interesting lyrics and melodies, and welcome opportunities to write specific songs for particular needs and artists.

I love writing and playing a diverse range of music and songs. I have been writing songs and music for quite a number of years, with the acoustic guitar as my principal instrument, but focusing on synthesizers when writing electronic and ambient pieces.

The purely musical compositions I write are what I call Sound Images. They are scenes you can visualise through music. I think of a picture in my mind and try to portray that image through music, or the piece is written to specific criteria a producer might want. Most of these compositions have been created using synthesizers. “Forest Sprites”, “Spring Rain” and “Midnight Chase” are examples of this type of piece, written with a very particular mood and set of images in mind. I also write a lot of stand alone guitar pieces, again with an image or theme behind them. The pieces employ standard or open tunings, some examples being “Road Trip”, “Southern Skies”, “Fond Memories”, “Missing You”, “Musing”, “Stepping Out” and “Not Too Late”.

My music has been used on television and media, and I am interested in composing music specifically designed to create a mood, image or feeling for film, tv or other media. I write most of this type of music using keyboards and synths, but have started using the acoustic guitar as a tonal base or component. With the piece “Hard Nosed” the melody and core are acoustic guitar, with a synth lead line and backing adding texture and additional dynamics.

I have also written a variety of songs, based largely around the acoustic guitar. The songs vary from ballad types to middle of the road pop/country. I write songs principally for use by other artists looking for interesting lyrics and melodies, and welcome opportunities to write specific songs for particular needs and artists. Each of my songs is available to be recorded by any artist who is interested, by obtaining the appropriate licence. Examples are “Home Is Where You Find It”, “Don’t Ask Me Why”, “Lady How You Touch Me” and “It’s Just Not Me”.
