For the last twenty five years Duo Gleva has transformed and revived Christian music by establishing themselves as one of the most popular gospel duets in the Netherlands Antilles. As ordained pastors, ministers, worship leaders, music producers and seasoned songwriters, Glenn and Eva Silvanie have used their broad musical talents with great diversity during the last twenty five years to take Christian music and the Christian message to a wider audience and broader platform.
For “Duo Gleva” gospel music is not just music but a lifestyle of worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ. Thirty years ago Glenn Silvanie accepted Jesus Christ and was introduced to worship and praise music. He immediately fell in love with this music. His special appeal to this music has come from his accessibility, his artistry and his love for the Lord Jesus Christ. In 1981 Glenn Silvanie met Eva Maria Dos Santos. Two years later they married. Very soon Glenn discovered the love of music and of worshipping God in Eva and Duo Gleva was born. Eva does not limit her encouragement of others strictly to her musical endeavors. She participates in youth ministry and Sunday school. In her contribution to youth ministry, her family life and her music Eva Silvanie displays commitment to caring about her brethren. The greatest expression of those gifts can be found in their music, which is a desire to communicate God’s love to the world.
In 1986 Duo Gleva produced their first production entitled: “Dios ta Stimabo” (God Loves You). In 1987 “E ta Señor”(He is Lord). In 1988 “Korsou Purba pa bo Mes” (Curaçao try for yourself) was produced, which received the “Rose of Sharon Award”.
Different other productions followed, “Grandi bo ta I”(You are Great I), “Responsabilidat”(Responsibility), “Grandi bo ta II”(You are Great II),”E motibu ta Alabansa”(The reason is Worship), and “Gratitud “(Thankfullness).
With the song “Mi Kasa”(My wife), Duo Gleva received the “Tarima Award” for Best Gospel Artists and became the first group to record a gospel cd in Curaçao. In 1994 the cd “Selebrá e Famia” (Celebrate the Family) with songs promoting family values was produced. In 1995 “Sea Semper Kontentu”(Rejoice allways) was issued and more than 6000 persons attended the concert of the same name which was a great success.
Many other productions followed, “Duo Gleva Live”, “Sea Enkurashá” (Be Encouraged), “Algu Nobo”(Something New), “Historia di nos Amor” (History of our Love) Gleva also received the “Galardon Award” from the Association of Artists and Musicians in Curaçao. Also internationally Duo Gleva received recognition when the organization “De Hoop Music Foundation” picked the song “This is your Day” to form part of their international gospel production.
Duo Gleva has also produced “E mihonan i algu mas” (The best and something more), “Bo ta mi refugio” (You are my refuge) “E regalo di Pasku”/ The gift of Christmas and “Sonido di Pasku”(Sound of Christmas). “Sana nos Pais” (Heal our Land). Their songs with a bold message encourage others to make a difference. Duo Gleva has a string of hits, including “E ta Señor”, “Mesias Rei i Saserdote”, “Grandi Bo Ta II”, “Mi orashon” i “Mi t’adora Bo Señor”. These songs have topped both the Christian and pop radio charts. These songs are also sung in the local congregations and bring us each time in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The family of Glenn and Eva Silvanie is a musical family. Glenn and Eva were blessed with six children. Joshua, Naomi, Levi, Zamar, Esther, Ian and Ashmar .
