Frontlinerz Biography
With the release of their eagerly anticipated debut mix-tape “Road Works Vol 1” frontlinerz have raised the bar in underground grime and rap music with club bangers such as “Upfront and Big”. But just who are “frontlinerz”, consisting of four highly talented members Jak Frost (mc), Reciver (mc & producer), J Black (mc), and Jose (singer) this collective from south and north London have impressed with their lyrical flow, extraordinary beats and are determined that success will be on their terms.
The group was created out of friendship and talent in which each member had the same vision and decided to combine their ideas to create an even stronger quality of music and performance. Each member of the group brings to the table their own individual sound resulting in a combination of styles which when merged create a unique product of music like no other.
The name Frontlinerz was chosen because it represents the streets, were they grew up and also were they are heading “Our aim is to take our music world wide so that people are aware that artists in the UK are capable of producing high standards of hip hop music as in the US hip hop industry”.

The group began making music in 2001 with a vision to help define UK grime/rap music as a worldwide respected force creating a mixture of music genre such as hip-hop, Rnb and garage. They initially started writing lyrics to reflect their day-to-day lives; they describe their opinionative views of growing up in London. “The thing about our music is that it doesn’t matter who or what you are, it influences you in one way or the other that’s how diverse we are” Frontlinerz style of music is original and their versatility to create rap and grime garage music makes this collective exclusive. Since their introduction into the scene Frontlinerz have been tearing it up at various venues around London, never failing to impress at clubs and talent shows, with energetic and hyped performances. Their tracks have also received air play on various radio stations such as, Déjà vu 92.3, 1 xtra and baseline fm ,they have also finish filming two music videos from singles taken off there debut mix tape “Roadworks Vol 1” which are soon to be released.
Currently back in the studio working on their debut album and their second mix tape titled “Road block”, the guys have lined up a host of hot UK artists to collaborate with and will be back on the airwaves with some hot new material once again because they believe in consistency.
