I enjoy creating a variety of instrumental fusion jazz songs. But, I have experimented with other styles of music ranging from new age to classical to mediterranean influenced music. I try not to be limited by any particular style, and tend to incorporate ideas from a lot of different genres.

My music centers around stringed instruments, though there are variations.
I am also a physics professor, and work near Annapolis, Maryland.

I am currently working on some musical collaborations with another Broadjam artist...DJPJGJ (Per Jonsson). He does some extremely interesting work of his own. Check out his site too!

Please see my "BIO" page for a list of my songwriting awards, and for more details on what I am up to these days. Take care.

My Music

I enjoy creating a variety of instrumental jazz songs. But my songs have elements and influences from many different genres and musical traditions. And much of my music falls into other categories.

I play a variety of stringed instruments. My music often is comprised of a number of layers of electric and acoustic guitars and basses, as well as some vocals. I try to create all my own work from the beginning, so I don't use canned samples. However, I will at times make loops from segments of my own work.

I am also a writer member of ASCAP.

What Else?

When I'm not doing music, I work as a physics professor. Or maybe its the other way around? But my physics background has had some interesting effects on my music, and vice versa...

For example, I teach a course in Sound and Light (acoustics and optics). In the acoustics section of the course, I take the students through a survey of sonic and acoustic phenomena, including such topics as the characterization and adjustment of room acoustics, and the physics of musical instruments.
