Eddie Cunningham

"THE BEST UNKNOWN" Eddie is appearing in a new reality TV show, coming soon!! details under wraps....speaking of unknowns.....Jim Beam named Eddie the best UN-signed Country Band in America...whipeee, and that's only a quarter of Eddie, he runs the gamut all over the map his 's music catalog has everything from Award winning gospel tunes such as "Jesus is more than a name" SCMA "Best Gospel", and it topped the Americana charts on the CD The Gram Parsons Notebook, "The Last Whippoorwill", Eddie was responsible for getting a lot of the artist together in the beginning stages of the notebook, groups like Boy Howdy, Big House, Roger Alan Wade, Dale Watson, Eddie Dunbar, and Jim Lauderdale got the call from Eddie to participate in the writings of Gram Parsons. Eddie's contribution to the CD was "Jesus Is More Than a Name"; it was co-produced with Grammy winner Carl Jackson and Mike Ward. (the album was up for 3 Grammy nominations) it features Marty Stuart, Ricky Skaggs, Jim Lauderdale, Eddie Dunbar, and The Elvis Band just to name a few. Eddie also co-wrote "The Button" an international hit! At least that what my BMI statements tell me. Eddie's beautiful song "Where the wind begins" is a top acoustic song selected by IAMA, The International Acoustic Music Awards featured on the compilation. In the Country Rock field his song, "Bad Cowboy" won in several categories, including the Billboard world song contest and The John Lennon. For several years in a row Eddie has been nominated by the CCMC California Country Music Association and two years in a row Eddie was named Songwriter of the Year & Male Vocalist of the Year.
HOT OFF THE PRESS!!!! Eddie just co-wrote and sang the demo about 20 different times in 20 different voice characters for the new Apple/MAC vs. PC Sad Song, "Vista blues" campaign, for Mr. Hodgeman the PC Man to sing. AND Eddie is headed off to Nashville to cut a new record with Mike Ward, (Dierks Bentley) and Carl Jackson, Al Perkins the best's pickers good money can buy....Eddie's song "Puente" is going into a movie called Surviving L.A.
Eddie has shared the stage with many great artists like Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Bryan White, Joe Diffee, Aaron Tippin, Gary Morris, Keith Anderson, Jesse Colin Young, and the list goes on. Eddie has won several contests including First Place at the "Country Music Showdown" at the Country Star in Hollywood at Universal Studios, which lead him to sing the National Anthem at a Los Angeles Lakers game at the Great Western Forum.
Eddie's acting in a few of Kim Fowley's independent films, The first one is "Jukebox California" Eddie's art is displayed in the film and even has a cooking segment but, mostly he shows off his comedic personality. Eddie likes being a funny guy; in fact you may have caught him getting his chest waxed on an episode of Jay walking with Jay Leno one night. They played it four times, once in slow motion. Jay couldn't believe it didn't seem to bother Eddie, as he replied after the rip, Will this get me on Survivor?. Eddie has a very serious side to him too; you may have seen him on the NBC morning show Good Day L.A., promoting a peace concert dedicated to the 9/11 victims singing a song called "WHY", which he originally wrote after the Columbine incident with Grammy winner Wendy Waldman. This show made the 11:00 o'clock news later that night, Eddie was featured singing at the church. Eddie has 10 CD's out by him singing, but you see other folks doing Eddie's songs like..... Legendary soul man, Ben E. King sings "If You Need a Miracle", for the movie Made in America. Country Star Moe Bandy - "I was taken"
California Country legend /Pioneer Chris Darrow - "Every bad thing you do" & "Stage by stage"
Austin Legend - Dale Watson - "High but I ain't holdin' "
