Bio

Don Dailey has studied theory and composition, jazz and electronic music. He plays guitar, percussion and tuba, but his one true love is composing electronic music. He is also an accomplished sound designer and has created many unique sample libraries and numerous banks of sounds for the software synth Absynth. (see Native Instruments Absynth User Library).

Musical Influences

Don's musical influences are varies and many. They include Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Subotnick, Zappa, The Beatles, Emerson, lake and Palmer, Steve Roach, Xenakis, Tangerine Dream, John Adams, and many ECM artists. Another strong musical influence has been film scores of dramatic and psychological thriller movies.

Television Credits

Over the past three years, Don has contributed to daytime television as a producer, composer, percussionist and guitarist. As a producer for music used on the show "All My Children", he has earned credit for contributions to the show having received a 2002-2003 Daytime Emmy Award for Music.
