The story so far...

Born in the 1950s, I grew up listening to Jazz, Rock'n'Roll and the Pop Music of the day until the Beatles came along and changed my life forever. I bought my first drum kit at the age of 15 which was about as soon as I could get out of school and start out on the road to success. Seems like I missed a turning somewhere. I suppose I was a bit of a disappointment to my father who surely wanted a better life for his son. He tried to understand though, what with coming from Liverpool and being a natural entertainer himself, he had no choice. Eventually my life led me in many different directions but I always played in bands and had some small success stories of my own at a fairly professional level.

I began to write songs as soon as I could get three chords out of a guitar and put some words to the resulting tune that crystalised in my head. I have got better over the years. My lyrics have improved and I've even learned another chord, or possibly even two!

Despite several abortive attempts, I can't seem to get this songwriting bug out of my head. So I've finally decided to give it another shot using the almighty power of the internet to propel my songs out into the wild blue yonder and see if any of them come back to get me.

At the moment I write, perform and produce all of my work using a small home studio. My productions are therefore less than lavish but hopefully the songs can tell their own story.

I know it's bit of a long shot but I have always had a burning ambition to write a big hit for the Country music market ever since I heard The Grand Tour by George Jones in my early twenties. That was the first time I realised the real power behind a simple but beautifully written lyric combined with a great voice set off by a musical arrangement designed to enhance rather than interfere with the song. Armed with only a few instruments, my voice and my imagination it's not gonna be easy but then again... nothing is easy.
