Keyboardist, Composer, Arranger

Born and raised in Louisiana, I began expressing my inherent musical abilities at the age of 2. Inspired by Liberace (yeah, remember his show, sure you do), I wore the finish off my mother's vanity bench "playing piano" in front of the vanity mirror (she was cool with it); began piano lessons at age 7 (about five years late); at age 8, learned I have perfect pitch (both a blessing and a curse) and discovered the Everly Brothers and a love for singing harmony...I wore out their records singing along third part. Classical music was an early influence and through the experience of listening to orchestral arrangements, I developed an acute ear for listening deep within the musical mix, to identify scales and intervals, to hear and "see" the different colors and textures of the instruments and how they play with and off each other. The Beatles and the ensuing British Invasion rocked my world at the age of 10 and my musical path was set. I have played professionally since the age of 13...preferably in the background...the quintessential sideman...and have shared the stage across many genres with the famous and infamous.
