The band played for the first time at Christmas 1999, when three friends performed some traditional Anglo-Saxon Christmas songs in the S. Pellegrino’s Church with instruments such acoustic guitars, harmonica and voices. After few months, the trio became a quartet, by adding a bass player. The goal is simply to have fun playing music offering to the audience a wide range of traditional popular songs (even unknown by the big audience) who come from England, Scotland, Ireland and USA.

La storia
Il gruppo nasce in occasione del Natale 1999 quando tre amici musicisti suonano nella Chiesa Parrocchiale di S. Pellegrino alcuni brani natalizi tradizionali anglosassoni in versione acustica con chitarre, armoniche e voci. Dopo pochi mesi il trio diventa un quartetto con l'aggiunta di una bassista. L'obiettivo è semplicemente quello di divertirsi suonando insieme, proponendo al pubblico brani acustici del repertorio tradizionale e popolare inglese, scozzese, irlandese ed americano conosciuti e non dal grande pubblico.
I musicisti
Patrizia Gherardi: voce solista e percussioni
Ex-voce del Gruppo Studio Musica Popolare e dei Tundra Hotel vanta una lunga esperienza nel campo della musica popolare italiana ed internazionale. Ha studiato canto con il maestro Zappatini presso il "Centro Studi Musicali L'Accademia" di Bergamo.
Silvia Milesi: basso e cori
Ex-bassista degli Arimo, ha studiato prima da autodidatta e poi presso il CDPM ("Centro Didattico Produzione Musica") di Bergamo, suonando inoltre rock e blues con altri gruppi della provincia.
Michelangelo Oprandi: chitarre, percussioni, flauto, armoniche synth e cori
La sua principale attività è di Guida Alpina ma ha alle spalle studi di pianoforte classico ed è passato poi alla chitarra suonando da autodidatta. Autentico jolly della band (vista la quantità di strumenti suonati) compone anche brani originali.
Massimo Grazioli: chitarre, armoniche e cori
Inizia a suonare la chitarra classica da autodidatta per passare poi all'acustica e quindi all'elettrica. Ha suonato folk negli "Arimo", progressive-rock nei "Tundra Hotel" e rock italiano negli "Omnia". Ha perfezionato la tecnica chitarristica negli Stati Uniti, frequentando per un anno il "Musicians Institute" di Los Angeles.

The musicians
Patrizia Gherardi: Lead Voice, acoustic guitar, percussion
Ex-leading voice of several bands (“Gruppo Studio Musica Popolare”, “Tundra Hotel”) has a long experience about popular music from Italy and abroad. She studied singing technique followed by the famous teacher Mr. Zappatini at the school “Centro Studi Musicali l’Accademia” of Bergamo.
Silvia Milesi: Bass guitar, percussion and background voice
She played bass guitar with the folk band “Arimo”. She studied the instrument by herself, then she went to the school CDPM (Centro Didattico Produzione Musica) of Bergamo, playing also with several rock and blues band in the Bergamo's area.
Michelangelo Oprandi: acoustic guitar, percussion, flute, harmonica, synths and background voice
His primary job is Mountain Guide, but he has a background of classical piano studies. He began to play guitar studying by himself. He’s actually the “Jolly” of the band for the number of instruments played! He’s also a songwriter and he composed several original songs.
Massimo Grazioli: acoustic, classic and electric guitars, harmonica and backgound voice
He start playing classic guitar by himself to pass further at acoustic and electric guitar. He played folk in “Arimo”, folk-rock progressive in “Tundra Hotel” and Italian-rock in “Omnia”. He spent one year in the USA at G.I.T. M.I. (Musicians Institute of Los Angeles, California) improving his guitar technique.
