Carine Horner is a Los Angeles native whose musical inspiration does not end there. Her singing and songwriting styles are internationally influenced, incorporating sounds and rhythms that span this country and beyond. From sitting on the beach in Baja singing Mariachi tunes with friends, to learning the Banduria from a fellow musician in the Philippines, Carine has acquired a skill for writing catchy melodies and infectious "hooks" that linger with both power and subtlety.

Born the youngest child of a Preacher Man, she scribbled lyrics on the backs of hymnals as a kid. She was surrounded by all types of inspirational music; coming of age in several diverse suburbs of Southern California. Carine began showing interest in music early on – She learned piano, guitar, ukelele, mandolin, bass, drums, and latin percussion; oftentimes self-taught. She trained her ear so well that most times she can hear a song just once and be able to play it. This skill traversed itself into languages so she is able to sing in Italian and Spanish as well. But most of all, Carine loves to write songs that she belts out the melody to in her signature voice: a velvety and powerfully lush alto.
