Bones of Contention, (ph). 1. To make a point or issue; 2. Dissention; 3. To
have quarrel with; 4. To have a bone to pick.

Bones of Contention is a Garden City, MI-based band formed in 1998. Our
influences range from classic rock to thrash to groove-oriented drop-tuned
metal. We aim to bring something dynamic to the heavy rock scene by
combining the best elements of our favorite genres.

The rawness and immediacy of the tight four-piece band is the medium
through which we, the band, bring you, the fan, a brutal, intense, and honest
listening experience.

BoC has released two CD's, the Signs of Weakness EP in 1998 and the Bloodlust single in 2000. They have also been featured on a compilation called "It's Just a Matter of Time".

BoC have played out in several southeast Michigan clubs, including the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, the I-Rock Nightclub in Detroit, the Wired Frog in Eastpointe, Paycheck's Lounge in Hamtramck, and the Maltese American Club in Dearborn.
