I was born to a family of novice muscians and used to listen to them play every weekend when our families got together. If I have any talent at all it comes from my mother who used to sing and write while us girls sit on the edge of the bed and listened to her play her guitar with her book of lyrics. She was good and wrote a lot of folk music. I learned to harmonize and some basic chords because she taught me! She could have really been something in her day, but severe stage fright left her with the inability to perform. I did not inherate that part of her, but I did get the gift of voice if you could go as far as to say that. I write all the time and hope with the new guy I just met that we can get some more music down. I write about life experience so I am pretty much an open book if you can understand my words and feel the melody.
