The meeting of two musicians with opposing musical styles, fitting together perfectly, describes the founding members of “BipolarJ.” Their music has been called a conglomerate of genres complimenting each other in a unique rock sound.
James Black and James Grasselino, met very early one morning at one of Jersey City’s now legendary 111 arts building parties in July of 2004. There was an instant rapport and respect flowing between the two. Their styles meshed in an instant, and their fortuitous meeting quickly expanded into collaboration. The additions of R.J Martin on bass and Chris J Speich on drums completed the band.
The music of “BipolarJ” has been well received, sparking interest and turning ears wherever heard. The band has been all over the New York rock scene playing shows at clubs such as Maxwell's, Don Hill's, Ace of Clubs, Kenn'ys Castaways, Bar 169, The Lions Den, ands various New Jersey music festivals. Their first album is currently being recorded and mixed.

There was an instant rapport and respect flowing between the two. Their styles meshed in an instant, and their fortuitous meeting quickly expanded into collaboration.
