Pawel Siwczak, harpsichord & ear

Pawel Siwczak, harpsichordist & early keyboard specialist, graduated with honours from the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree at the Royal Academy of Music with the support of the Isabel May Walton Award. He studies harpsichord and fortepiano with Carole Cerasi, as well as clavichord with Terence Charlston.

In May 2007 Pawel won the Broadwood Harpsichord Competition; in April 2006 he won the Sir Anthony Lewis Memorial Prize founded by Musica Britannica Trust for the performance of early English music.

Pawel Siwczak performs actively as a soloist and with chamber ensembles. He has played in orchestras conducted by Laurence Cummings, William Christie and Simon Standage, and his touring activities took him to countries such as France, Holland, Sweden, Malta, Russia, England and Poland.

He has taken part in masterclasses with prominent musicians, including Kenneth Gilbert, James Johnstone and Elzbieta Czerny-Stefanska.
