Arty (singer/songwriter) is frontman for Hartwell, an up 'n coming and infectious rock band that commands an energetic and emerging sound, combining the endearing melodies of Green Day, the precision of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the creativity of Incubus. Hartwell released their debut album, TOTAL REQUEST, in the Fall of 2002 and has been gigging regularly while building a widespread, fresh and youthful fan base over the past years.
Arty has been touring nationally from 2000-05 as an AEA singer/actor performing in shows including Jekyll & Hyde, Cinemax Summer Screen, Rent and Miss Saigon. As former drummer for The Original Swingers, he has played at venues such as CBGBs, Acme Underground, and Elbow Room.
He trained at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts for vocal performance and has received various awards including 1st place at The Edison Arts Society's "Songs and Monologues" competition as well as multiple music festival "Outsatanding Vocalist" trophies
