Alias timEZ Biography

The rock and roll phenomena know as Alias timEZ was organized in the northwest corner of Connecticut in 1967. They played various local clubs in New England until they were summoned by the late great Brian Jones of the pop band known as the Rolling Stones, to come to Great Britain. Mr. Jones offered employment to our boys so they eagerly packed up their instruments and moved to a small flat outside of London. Due to an unfortunate mishap with Mr. Jones, the boys were deported from of England for not securing working visa for being swimming pool caretakers and were exiled to a small island, north of Greece.

Forging ahead, the boys met up with some Bosnian horn players who joined the band in 1969 and remained with the band until the present day. The All Sonic Sound Orchestra (A.S.S. O. for short) consisted of: Al V. deZane, baritone sax, Al Bakirkey, tenor sax, Al Ceya Layta, trombone, Al Dorado coronet and Al B. Allrite trumpet. The band was

The band was persuaded to move north to the Georgian State (of the then U.S.S.R.) where they recorded their first big hit “Yo Puss eyes stank eye” which stayed on the Russian charts for a record breaking 110 weeks.

Resurfacing again in the states in the early 1970’s, the boys ever so briefly changed their name to the Amazing Def Willy Band and proceeded to play small bars and colleges. The band worked hard for the next 5 years, playing to sold out revenues up and down the east coast. Rumor had it that R
