Bio

Quinto Nivel*
Was formed under the direction of Afrain G. Cavazos (AC)
in 2001. The group was originally a Cover Variety Band,
performing in small clubs, weddings, etc.
Quinto Nivel's, main goal was to create a sort of music style
that would be good dance music. Being that AC was a rocker, moved to venture into the spanish/latin music styles. He met up with Mike Barro, an accomplished bassist with several years of performing spanish music. Almost immediately, they realized that the new rock/cumbia sound they were creating was something special.
Then along came Percy Cardona (drums, precussions, keys, accordion, harmonies). Percy had also played in the Tejano and Conjunto genres giving the group a music style that was unique to Texas listeners. The Group has perfomed with top recording grammy tejano band "Jimmy Gonzales Y Mazz", Jaime y Los Chamacos, and many other acts..
Our new current bassist is Pete Arredondo Jr, whom
previously had played in Tejano and Conjunto bands. His interest in the bands origniality and team work, helped him decide to join the group. We consider our music as a latin fusion/cumbia rock.
In the 70s played with Beau Buster, Members*Rick Montez,
Alex Bayarena, and Gary Ward. checkout www.garyward.com
