Hailing from Gothenburg Sweden, the lads got together & formed a Heavy Metal band in high school. Their love and passion for their music shows in their live performances which are legendary. Their most recent CD entitled "Define:Rend" was recorded at the famous Grand Recordings in Sweden. Their conquering of Sweden was complete when they played a large outdoor festival in Sweden in 2005 to throngs of screaming fans.
Somber is now touring and tearing it up on the West Coast with their stunning live performances & online marketing strategies. Inspired by great artists like Metallica & Dime Bag Darrell & famous for their synchronized hair swinging onstage, Somber is carving out their own niche in the rock world and are a band to be watched. Somber features handsome frontman and lead singer Pontus Dahlstrom, wild lead guitarist Andreas Henriksson, smooth rhythm guitarist Carl Fritzell, stage animal & bassist Bjorn "Bear" Rehnqvist and monster drummer John Brester.
Hailing from Gothenburg Sweden, the lads who all grew up & went to school together formed a Hard Rock/Metal band in high school. Through their love and passion for their music, they honed their craft for many years and went on to record several albums. Their most recent effort is a 5 song EP entitled "Define:Rend" recorded at the famous Grand Recordings in Sweden. Their conquering of Sweden was complete when they played a large outdoor festival in Sweden in 2005 to throngs of screaming fans.
Realizing they needed exposure on a global scale, they decided in December 2005 to embark on a magical journey to find their musical fortunes. They hopped on a Swedish freighter heading west across the Atlantic to New York City. Their adventures then continued as they hitchhiked their way across America until they hit the Pacific Ocean.
With nowhere else to go, the 5 young Swedish Musicans landed on the Gold Coast in the beautiful city of Ventura where they now all reside & operate out of a single flat near the beach.
