Michael Medall (founder of Modern Era Music), born and raised in the Midwest United States, was becoming more in-tune with hip-hop culture. Now, Michael Medall has become an internationally connected musician. Known for attracting and engaging crowds of all demographics and backgrounds, by mixing a real-life essence, with compelling lyrics, and a connective stage-presence and crowd engagement.
He's performed alongside: Mac Lethal, Psalm One, People Under The Stairs, Chris Webby, Sammy Adams, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, DJ Abilities and the list continues.
Michael's debut tour - Inspire Tour 2013 launched May 9th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and took him and his team as far as Boston, Massachusetts and to many cities in between.
Michael is currently gearing up for his second tour, which is tentatively set to take action Fall of 2013.

Michael Medall Bio
In the early years following the new millennium, Michael Medall (founder of Modern Era Music and formerly known as M.I.C.), born in the midwest region of the United States, was becoming more in-tune with hip-hop culture. Michael grew up in a very musical family where the rhythms and beats were created to tell his story. Having played in multiple bands as a guitarist, pianist, and lead singer led him towards his true calling as a rising emcee in Hip-Hop. Now, he continues to shine light on real life issues, love, life, and beyond through his powerful productions and vocals.
In Fall of 2011 he made his journey from the midwest to Helsingborg, Sweden where he earned his title as a part-owner of Elk Skateboarding. Elk is still in existence today mostly supplying goods within the Scandinavian borders. During his stay, which lasted 7 months, he was connected with MF Studios and TFX Productions, a Swedish Independent Record Label. From that point, Michael was on-board as an in-house songwriter for the label. Here is where he began to truly establish his high abilities within songwriting and music production. To commemorate his dedication MF Studios agreed to give birth to his most recent release "Second Decade" which featured productions from himself and multiple talented producers. DJ Pain 1 was one of these talented producers who happened to have earned a platinum plaque for his production work on "The Recession" with hip-hop superstar Young Jeezy. Pain has also produced for artists such as Shyne, Gucci Mane, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, I-20, and many more. You can most definitely consider Michael as a powerful addition to this list of artists; offering much more than the usual word-play and catchy rhymes. He strives to bring a "real" element to each and every project.
Now, Michael has had the opportunity of rocking almost 20 shows in the Midwest upon his recent return from Europe. Most recently being his appearance at the Summer Set Music & Camping Festival, which featured artists such as Nas, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and many more from multiple genres. This experience has already started to open more doors for Michael within the music industry. He is now in steady motion towards releasing his second installment of his official mixtape series titled "The Next Step", which is set to release Fall 2012. The project will continue to cater to music lovers of all kinds. As this has all been taking place he has now officially teamed with Decap Music in works on a classic album. The album is set to release by this January, though a final release date has not yet been finalized.
Having such an involved background in not only music, but in human relations, due to his past and recent works in the community, he has been able to collaborate in bringing positive opportunities to the youth in his hometown of Madison, Wisconsin. Michael continues to surprise audiences with his undying soul and love for Hip-Hop music, and we can all predict a very bright future to come.
