Band Bio

A stretch of road between Ohio and New York State known as interstate 90 has kept this band together since the 90’s! Don VanPelt and Tom Burke recorded a few songs together with an Ensoniq EPS16, a Jackson guitar, and a Yamaha 4 track in Tom's basement one afternoon. Stik (“Stikman”) had recently moved to Port Clinton, Ohio, from LA were he was playing with local bands and entertaining crowds as a solo act. Since Don and Stik are related (nephew/uncle), a family gathering enabled Don to play Stik their songs. He instantly realized the potential songwriting powerhouse the three of them would be together. Apparently, he wasn’t the only one who would think this. In 1996, with a rough tape handed to a radio station in Toledo, Ohio, the band scored their first commercial airplay with an area band contest the station was promoting between Detroit and Cleveland. Not only did the song (The Van Song) win the contest, it ended up on regular rotation. Unfortunately, with no copies for sale, the band’s success was limited.

In 2004, they recruited legendary area drummer Lenny Milano and the area's top guitarist, Tim Boehlert. This additional horsepower has polished their music to a mirror shine. Their debut cd "We've Come Along" has had nothing but praise from the local musician's and press, and has fully established these guys as a songwriting dynamo!
