Diggsville began as a musical entity while contributing to the soundtrack of the independent film, “In the Wake”, by Erica Jordan. After cruising the festival circuit, percussionist Randy Odell and vocalist Karen Mitchell enlisted the piano skills of David von Holder. His rich synth textures and poignant melodic sensibilities provided the perfect complement to Randy's timely grooves, both coming from a strong jazz and R&B background. Bassist David Hermocillo’s ability to drive it to the ground and saxophonist Nadine Whitfield’s subtle soul added to Karen’s evocative lyrics and haunting vocals for an extraordinary sound, that includes elements of trip-hop, electronica, latin funk and jazz. After Nadine's departure, Jody Ono was recruited to add sax and EWI synth layers to Diggsville's infectious mix.

Diggsville’s lush female vocals, dreamy keys, enigmatic samples, sultry sax and driving bass and drums unite for a uniquely seductive blend of retro and contemporary elements.

Diggsville began as a musical entity while contributing to the soundtrack of the independent film, ?In the Wake? by Erica Jordan. Bassist David Hermocillo?s ability to drive it to the ground and saxophonist Nadine Whitfield?s subtle soul added to Karen?s evocative lyrics and haunting vocals for an extraordinary sound, that includes elements of trip-hop, electronica, latin funk and jazz. When Nadine departed the group after recording "Songs from Nowhere," Jody was recruited to add saxophones and EWI synth layers to Diggsville?s uniquely infectious mix.

The band has aroused San Francisco, North & East Bay crowds in local clubs, stirred it up at the infamous Nadine?s Wild Weekend and lit it up on local college and internet radio stations.
