Not long ago crunk music was once only known as a Southern fad, now it has quickly become a new self-expression of pop culture. The evolution of the crunk world has persuaded many genres of music, and the newest expression to be birthed is Crunk Praise. This fusion of crunk and praise music was founded by C.B.G, Chozin By God. Its members Prince David and Golden Child describe crunk praise as a new movement that lets you be free. Its an outlet for those who are tired of the old traditional praise.

CBG (Crunk Praze)

Through their love of God and music, George Prince David (22) and Seth Golden Child (25) became instant childhood friends at Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C in Evanston, IL right outside of Chicago. Prince David has always been an inspiring rapper while remaining faithful to his devotion to church and walk with God. Along side him, Golden Child was fine tuning his knowledge in music recording from Full Sail. Upon graduation, he went back home and began to work under producer, Steve Stone Huff who gave him a chance to produce his own material. The two members were busy at their own crafts but were often seen together and mistaken several times as a group. One day last year, Steve Huff suggested that the two should just become a group and work together, and C.B.G was formed instantly. No one would ever guess that C.B.G has only been working together professionally for a year, because they practically grew up together through Church. Both Prince David and Golden Child shared a common ground on what type of music C.B.G would translate to its listeners. Spear headed by Steve Stone Huff and Golden Child, C.B.Gs sound emerged and they began recording their album, Crunk Praze. C.B.Gs formula works because they use every day topics over crunk, energetic tracks. Their positive energy and new approach to praise music can be enjoyed by listeners of all ages.
