Autumn Underground History

Autumn Underground is a Jazz and Funk influenced Rock Band from Middleton Wisconsin formed in 2011. The band plays both original songs and covers from such artists as Stevie Wonder, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimmy Hendrix, and The Zutons.

The group was born on a trip to England where band members marched in the 2011 London New Year's Day parade. A transportation stop called Autumn Underground caught their eye and became the name of the new band. Band members have played in several local bands including: Social Misfits, Axis, Disaster Tuesday, Nerds Plugged In, and High Tide to name a few.

Many of the band members also play in Middleton's 7 O'Clock Jazz Band and the influence of this experience on their original songs is apparent in their rhythms, harmonies, solos, and improvisation.

AU: what an earful of fun listening to your most recent releases. comparisons aren't necessarily fair so I loosely think British/Euro Ska as some of what I hear. most important, you are fun to listen to. thanks for sharing. . .
