Rex, Thanks for the props for "Apartment 74"...... As you probably know by now..... I build backing tracks to be Top Lined.....Know any vocalists? Marvin....
Great stuff, Marvin...
I am myself a somewhat accomplished vocalist. Was local karaoke champ when karaoke was relatively new. Primarily rock and jazz. Check out my 'The Shunned' in my listing, down a bit. Classic rock thing. I also can forward a jazz track, Bobby Darren, old school jazz style (gotta dig that up, around here somewhere). Hey, if not what you are looking for, >no sweat
...my msg cut off? Limited number of characters available to reply??
Thanks for the reply..... I'm what you might call a lonely guy lol when it comes to vocalists ..... I enjoy doing instrumentals but its a very real challenge to get the right voice for the track.... I'm having some success with a female vocalist out of Chicago, Trixie Fender.... getting a few deals with her.... but limited listings that work with her style...... I need Pop and Pop Country singers as well as Jazz and Light rock.....I'll run out of characters soon............
Just wanted to run this by you.... Have you noticed all the listings for TV sports. There is one now for Blues instrumentals... So what's the difference between a 12 bar blues and another one.. I chose the title to set it apart.....drum roll please...........I Dream of Loose Balls. blues
Ha ha! Very funny. But an interesting tactic.
I confess I have never created anything for ad purposes. Maybe time to try.
Thanks for listening and the 5's for "In The Beginning" and "I Really Love Your Mind". Old tunes written for the lounge set.
I'm think Bjam has me locked into you and the Corey's. Must be some strange algorithm...kinda like the top 10's.
It is only fair that I award 5 stars for any tune I hear here that can actually teach me something. I should take the time to analyze any number ofl these things you come up with. They all fall into the 5 star category following my way of thinking.
Yeah, I wonder sometimes how BJam works. For instance, as of today I have completed 113 reviews, but have received only 54 in return. And if I layoff for, say, a couple weeks -- crickets as far as receiving new reviews. -- Maybe my stuff is too eccentric and gets past certain algorithms.
Maybe I should re-categorize all my stuff as Hip Hop, or maybe Folk
Ha!, or Country or Rap. We're not exactly writing to the mainstream audience. I've tried to broaden my musical endeavors here with limited success. I do what I do. However, no matter what I write someone always thinks it's Jazz.
As for how Bjam works...it's a mystery to me.
Just did a review of Elegiac. It's 5's all the way but somehow I hit the lyrics button and that messed up the score. By the way, I didn't notice this tune on your song list...workin' on the sax part?
Yeah, I have a knack for hitting irrelevant buttons now and then as well. Ought to be a clear or reset option.
And yep, this piece could use some further development.
Almost everything I've posted gets revisited sooner or later -- several of my oldest mp3s are permanently frozen, original midi files lost in a computer failure some years ago. Hard lesson learned :-/
Thank You, Bill, once again! Been some distractions around here of late, but will certainly be busy here again soon.
