Story Behind The Song

it's a long story, and the combination of the songs is a reaction to things that do not make sense, like injustice doesn't make sense. I wrote the top layer out of heartbreak, but since is was the kind of heartbreak that could never reach the light of day, and will never reach it, I channeled the song in the direction of persecution, because their turmoil seldom reaches the light of day, unless, someone like myself, in song, uncovers it.

Song Description

the lyrics aren't wordy for solid purpose. I was trying to paint an image with emotion rather than imagery. However, the voice over sort of nails down the specifics. I have been watching how Christians in Egypt are being killed under the eyes of the media, contrasted with this complacent materialism that blinds the American public. So, to reach under the media and draw an awareness, not just with words and facts, but with compassion and emotion, that was my goal. the lyrics to bombs drives the point hard, that no matter the obstacles, no matter what place these persecuted ones find themselves, they never stop dancing to the rhythm of their beliefs. this is the great mystery of faith. conquers the conquerors.

Lyrics

Prelude from Rabbi Levin
Vocal
Too late
The train has left
carried morning away
innocence with it

slow fade
catching our breath
holding it in
just to breath again

no whys, just hows
no goodbyes
below our shouts

voice over
they know
they know they can't go back
they carry Jesus all the way down the track
while we hide him in our pews
good day and how are you
can we find a little more to do
with the one who died
why we won't we cry
why do we hide
won't you turn around
just turn around
they've already gone down
they're underground

lyrics for bombs
the shadows darkened the park
but the dancers never stop
the bombs the spies the ticking clocks
but the dancers never stopped
