'Can't Wait' is simply about the joy of getting married. I wrote this for my sister-in-law's wedding. I decided to write from the grooms point of view about the wedding from proposal to vows. I recorded it and they played it on the day

Song Description

Verse 1 is about the proposal as far as I know exactly how it happened. Tony made up an excuse to get Jackie to the beach where they walked hand-in-hand. He popped the question at sunset on one knee and Jackie out of shear shock simply ran away across the beach screaming. Of course she eventually came back and said yes. Chorus Now they're engaged Tony thinks he can wait but of course he can't wait Verse 2 reflects on how long it had taken them to finally get to today, the wedding day, reminisces about Watergate Bay and the fact they've been together ever since. The isle in this church was extremely long and the walk made even longer by his anticipation of the vows at the end. The vows they exchanged was to give each other their hope and dreams. Chorus Now waiting at the end of the isle for his bride it is only Tony counting the seconds and his heart racing Verse 3 Tony catches the first glimpse of his bride in her wedding grown and feels every pace as she nervously approaches Chorus The moment he can't wait for is finally here and they are getting married
