Oh yeah! Great tune by any standard. Lots of excellent elements coming together to make this work: Great vocalist singing with tone and feeling that fits the song perfectly, stylish instrumentation that put all the dynamic intensity in the right places. Especially liked how that piano part at 3:11 set up the power that comes on at 3:36 which had a downright majestic feel to it. Production was pristine. Beyond all that technical stuff, this is a song that goes deep with feeling. Easy to conceive, not so easy to pull off. This did, beautifully. Extremely impressive.

Lyrics

Verse 1

Nobody ever said that love was gonna be easy
I just didn't know how hard it was gonna be
Then to top it off I had to watch you leave
Now I'm left to live alone with just a memory

Chorus

I still see you face in an empty room
I still smell the scent of your perfume
I still hear you whisper in the dead on night
You're no longer here and it's just not right

Verse 2

They say that time and space are meant to heal the pain
I don't think that I will ever, ever be the same
No matter how many tears I cry it ain't washing you away
I didn't stop loving you, when the angels took your light away

Chorus

I still see you face in an empty room
I still smell the scent of your perfume
I still hear you whisper in the dead on night
You're no longer here and it's just not right

Bridge

It would have been easier if you'd
Have slammed a door in my face
It would have been easier if you'd
Have laughed and walked away
It would have been easier if I
Could have seen you in another's embrace
It would have been easier if I,
I could have taken your place.

Chorus

I still see you face in an empty room
I still smell the scent of your perfume
I still hear you whisper in the dead on night
You're no longer here and it's just not right
