Slumped in a chair

Of tired sneakers
Glass full of stout
Blues flowin' out
Of old speakers

Room full of folks
Laughin' and tellin'
Tall stories
Off-colored jokes
Tales of new schemes
And old glories

I'll nurse this cold one

Peruse our picture on the wall

I see the scars in the wood
Carved by the good
And the wicked
Most are long gone
