Story Behind The Song
This song was inspired by the Sept. 11th tragedy, but I wrote it in a way that would honor all heroes. As a writer I strive to capture the very emotion of the listener and what they are feeling. I believe every event in life has a story inside of it, sort of like a short movie or a song, that's how Heart Of A Hero was created from the New York twin towers tragedy. But I feel that it can be used for may other purposes as well to honor our heroes over seas and here in the United States. My dream one day is to hear this song in a movie because everyone that hears it seems to be moved and touched by it.
Song Description
This song is for the everyday hero in sports and our next door neighbor who runs into a blazing fire to save a pet or a baby. This song is also for those who risk their lives everyday to save the lives of strangers like our policemen, our firemen, and our men who fight for our freedom. This song is for the person who just stops to help a stranger in need who's getting beaten when everyone else looks away. This song is for every hero who gives their all in whatever capacity of life or circumstance they are called to serve. This song is for all American Heroes.

Lyrics
" In The Heart Of A Hero "
VERSE:
In times of grief and sorrow, When tragedy occurs..
And the innocent fall helpless to the terrors of this world..
Comes a stranger to the rescue. to risk their lives to save..
A man or woman or a child, while we look on and pray.
CHORUS:
In the Heart of a hero, lives honor faith and hope..
Cause in the heart of a hero, they'll never count the cost, they just go.. goo
VERSE:
Compassion has no color, when we all are faced with pain,
We're no longer at odds, but one with God united all the same.
So let us offer moments of silence, as our flags are flown half staff.
Remembering those who proudly chose to walk through dangerous paths.
CHORUS:
In the heart of a hero, lives honor faith and hope,
And in the heart of a hero, they'll never count the cost they just go cost.
BRIDGE:
Tribute we give to our heroes
Their courage has made us home of the free and the brave, we are free.
CHORUS:
In the heart of a hero, lives honor faith and hope..
In the heart of a hero, may God from above Bless their souls..
In the heart of a hero,
They never count the cost they just go.
The End
