Song Description

Jovial monsters enjoy fun, rarely snack on people, are great lovers of fine slimy food and night life, and look very classy in green.

Story Behind the Song

The concept is simply one of monsters out for a great, rollicking time. I was thinking about monsters one evening. I was also thinking about people. If there is such a thing as monsters (and everyone knows there is), the monsters would not think of themselves as scary. Mostly they are out to satisfy their own cravings and people are not that important to them. So, if they happen to nibble on someone as a snack, it would not be a big event to them. Mostly they like slime better than people, (people are so often bitter) so if we keep our distance, we will mostly likely be OK.

Lyrics

words and music by Ellen McNutt (Legal name Ellen Douras Baniszewski) and Ellen's Entertainment, LLC

verse 1:
Late at night a monster creeps.
Dragging purple feet along the street
Climbing, creeping, sliming, slumping
Monster nights are sweet.

Chorus :
Chomp, chompy, chomp
People think our slime's alarming
Clomp clompy clomp
Looking green and very charming.

verse 2:
Monsters wake when people sleep
Crawling out to gloppy monster meets
Slimy drinks and monster munchies.
Monster nights are sweet.

Chorus :
Chomp, chompy, chomp
People think our slime's alarming
Clomp clompy clomp
Looking green and very charming.

verse 3:
People fear the monsters' glee
Fear they will become a monster treat.
Monsters rarely snack on people.
Monster nights are sweet.

Chorus :
Chomp, chompy, chomp
People think our slime's alarming
Clomp clompy clomp
Looking green and very charming.

Chorus :
Chomp, chompy, chomp
People think our slime's alarming
Clomp clompy clomp
Looking green and very charming.
