Lyrics

The time is going by me
So slow oh oh oh
And the world is trying to find me
So I go oh oh oh
and I can hide by the water
Cause I know, I know
That I can hide by the water
So I close my eyes and I lose myself
And I go
Down the river
Down the river
Yes I go
Down the river
Down the river

The words they seem to come up
From below oh oh oh
and the clouds begin to hover
Then they grow oh oh oh
And I can't hide from the demons
Cause I know, I know
That I can't hide from the demons
So I close my eyes and I lose myself
And I go
Down the river
Down the river
Yes I go
Down the river
Down the river

Solo

And I can live in the moment
cause I know, I know
That I can be in the moment
So I close my eyes and I lose myself
And I go
Down the river
Down the river
Yes I go
Down the river
Down the river

I really like the sound of the drums and the vocals are very good as well.

Great vocal, harmony is also great...does have the feeling on the rock side...Do I hear a female vocal there?

Really nice instrumentation and engaging chorus. Has a seventies feel to it and your voice is very seasoned sounding. Nicely done

got my attention at once! very good musical ideas here and the structure of the tune is well done. the lyrics are there, but a bit weak IMO. i really like the squeeze box sound. overall very well conceived and performed.

Beautifully recorded, I'm always a bit of a sucker for some accordion. Good arrangement, there's enough variety to keep interest and a couple of interesting changes. Very sharp playing and great vocal performances

very nice song it has a good feel to it i enjoyed listening to this song you both have very nice voices

Great vocals. The simple guitar line was built up well with drums, bass and accordion? I think I especially liked the drums. Heartfelt and exciting. Traveling down the river would be living moment to moment!

Quite catchy - performed at the steady and appropriate tempo.
Good arrangement and use of instruments / vocals
Brave to use the accordion for the solo rather than fall back on the traditional guitar solo - but it works.
I like the sliding harmonies at the end for the chorus lines.

"Down The River" is a really great, organic-sounding, potential sleeper hit! Awesome hook and a unique lyrical concept make this song terrific (and fun!) to listen to! You gotta check it out!

I like the hook and the lead vocal is good. Has a good groove.

Really nice clear recording. Harmonies work well. Good hook! Keep up the good work!!

The song has a nice sing-along feel to it. I enjoyed it...

Nice groove. Nice layered vocals.
