Story Behind The Song

I wrote this song shortly after high school after having a converstaion w/ one of my buddys about how I didn't want my life to change now that high school was over. I didn't want to have to grow up!

Song Description

An upbeat song that states that you can have fun and party like you were young. The song takes place in a bar and begins with drinking with your friends and ends in a classic bar fight.

Lyrics

Out on the town it's the same old thing, listening to the jukebox trying to sing. Getting liquored up just trying to have a good time. A couple minutes later my buddy walks in, there's nothing I like better than drinking with my friends. Now bartender drop the tequilla don't forget the lime

Where is it written that you can't have fun when those High School days are said and done? Don't try and slow us down cause were still on the run.

My brothers at the bar buying the rounds, my friends are on the dance floor trying to get down. And I'm laid back with the ladies just shooting the breeze. It's a messes up world we can't make right so lets pass away our problems for at least one night. It's just a short time to do whatever we please.

Three big boys walk in starting a fight, next thing I knew it was a full blown riot. Chairs were flying broken glass everywhere I looked. In this messed up world we can't make right getting a little rowdy is fun sometimes, a tonight is just another night we'll throw in the books.
