Song Description

In the moments where one understands they are soon moving on to the next realm, imagining a peaceful and restful destination

Story Behind the Song

This song came from an incident where my father fell quickly very ill and thought he was going to die. And I had never seen him this scared and vulnerable and even though he was not a religious man, this was my version of finding a place where he could find comfort. Of course, it was more about me dealing with my anxiety than he with his.

In the arms of My Maker
I go now to be
And I pray that He takes me
Where I long to be

And I know I'll be smiling
When I watch over you
In the arms of My Maker
I go now to be

And I know I'll rest easy
When I lay down my head
In the arms of My Maker
I go now to be

In the arms of My Maker
I go now to be
