Lyrics

You said we'd make it
And I said we'd make it
Now I'm standing here and you're standing there
Did you ever see the like?

You can travel, travel, travel
Everywhere it's just the same
Nobody to praise
And nobody to blame.

Look at what they're saying
And look what they're displaying
Just look what they're paying
Did you ever see the like?

You can travel, travel, travel ...

I even own a bank now.
They never told me that
They gave it all my money
Just to get their money back.

You can travel, travel, travel ...

Look what they're deploying
Look what they're employing
Just look what they're destroying
Did you ever see the like?

You can travel, travel, travel ...

You said we'd make it
And I said we'd make it
Now I'm standing here and you're standing there
Did you ever see the like?

You can travel, travel, travel
Everywhere it's just the same
Nobody to praise
And nobody to blame.

I would pitch this for a travel commercial, LOL!

Unique for sure! I can definitely see this getting picked up for licensing. Nice guitar playing. I liked the instrumental solo.

This could definitely fit into a film score, country video. Recording was fairly good. Guitar work was good. Nice tune for just an acoustic and vocal. Keep up the good work!

nice,I could image you doing shows at a lounge or outside dinner theater. I find your style is rare and enjoyable.the guitar style pulled me in and kept my intrigued. a hinge of Jim Croce.if you have never heard of him.?. look him up and take a listen; [Time in a bottle, Bad Bad Leroy Brown] a couple of his well known songs.

Nice trad blues changes. Good acoustic. Sounds like you are having real fun....

good job unique different well done good song

A very interesting understated little Blues tune. I dig the organic and original feel of this arrangement...not so easy to pull off a decent performance with just a lead vocal and acoustic guitar, but this artist pulls it off naturally. Singer has a sound of the great Ringo who was justly inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame. Best of luck to you.

It was a good song, but the melody dragged a little, it would be better slightly faster. The lyrics were good.

really liked the lyrics to this song and the simplicity of the recording , good little bluesy rhythm guitar keeps it rolling while the lyrics do the real talking.

Tongue in cheek commentary, humorous take on a lot of different everyday experiences, from relationships with women to bankers, lol! Clever line about giving/keeping/making money.
