Story Behind The Song
Everyone has hurdles and obstacles they face in their life on a daily basis. Most people spend too much time tossing and turning in bed worrying about this thing or that thing. But most of the things we worry about are just that - things. only things. If we really step back and take a look at what we're so worried about, I think we usually find that we put many of those obstacles in front of us needlessly - because we want to keep up with the Jones, or because we want to feel like we have control of our lives. The song started as a personal reminder to just relax and let things flow and trust that everything will be alright. It started with the hook that was saying this over and over in my head as I worried about to many things in life at the time. "just let go, man"
Song Description
"Let Go" is a song about freeing yourself from the complications and monotony of every day life. It flirts with several different genres of strightforeward rock and roll, funk and dance hall - the idea being that if you're dancing, you're probably not worrying about your car payment...

Lyrics
you've got to let go
see how you are furrowing your brow with all those troubles there
you're gonna get a cramp from frownin unless you let down your hair
bills and frills life ain't a race just look up at the stars
cause you don't need a three car garage unless you drive three cars
chorus (2x)
let go - things are gonna get much better my friend
let go - tumbling along with the wind
everybody seems to crowd around and make it hard to breathe
but I will stay and stand my ground until it's time to leave
let it move on like molasses, let it groove on slow
cause you can't shoot an arrow until you string up the bow
let go (repeat chorus)
try not to be confused by the haircut of the herd
cause they will stampede off a cliff just from a single word
take a different viewpoint way up on the hill
and watch them think they're moving when they're really standing still
let go (repeat chorus)
