Song DescriptionMaking God a little more personal, as I see him and know him, rather than just some thing outside of us that we can't really touch, see, hear, etc.
Story Behind the SongJust came to me one day while on vacation. I think it was for my father, as I was visiting him and he has been battling cancer for a few years and has recently began to believe in God through the miracles he has performed in his and his brother's life.
Lyrics
Oh how long are you gonna stay
at the bottom of that hole your digging
how many times do you have to hit that wall
before you let yourself give in
How bad does it have to get
before you let yourself admit
you can't do it all by yourself
it's ok to ask for help
Chorus
I'm here, ready and waiting
for you to call my name
I will never forsake you
for it's you who turns away
I am the alpha and omega
your creator, a great mystery
when you call my name
I will be just what you need me to be
Oh I know your every thought
and the next move you make
I see how you punnish yourself
over every little, little mistake
I feel all of your heartache
cause my heart aches with you the same
and I wonder when you'll cry out
to let me know I didn't die in vain
Chorus
I can be your loving father
to grant you your heart's desires
I can be your shinning light
In the darkest, darkest of hours
I can be a firm hand
to keep you on the righteous path
I can be the whisper of a child
that in your sadness makes you laugh
Chorus
