Story Behind The Song
I wrote the song after a break-up when I realised that no matter what I said or did, it wouldn't change what was happening. After that point, it was re-assuring to know that I had a clean slate to work with, and more experience to draw from.

Lyrics
I just wanted to say I'm sorry, as if you haven't heard that line before. I know I sound just like a broken record, well maybe that's because this record has been broken. The only thing I'm sure of is the way you feel about me has changed. It would be dumb to think that I didn't have a part in that.
So here I am again, wishing things were different, G*d knows that I've seen better days. Lost it all again, only when you've lost it all that's when you see you have everything to gain.
See you have it all to gain.
It's been 3 weeks since you last tried to call me. I wonder if you've got over me by now. Well I can tell by the way you were holding him last night, that lucky boy is gonna stay nice and warm for a while, oh.
