Story Behind The Song
The story behind the song is quite simple. I saw a crazy little irish man playing a fiddle on TV. he was dancing like a leprechaun. he looks hilarious, but somehow cool at the same time. Thinking of this, I remember that my son Zachary (who is half irish used to move jokingly about in the same manner). I then decided to add some african influences (as I have african roots) and just generally played around with the tune, until voila...AFRICAN IRISH!
Song Description
The song is a crazy mix of african chant, hip-hop urban vocals and a brilliant nagging, frenetic fiddle sample. When combined together, with various breakbeats, fills and pauses - the track moves along like one long cray carnival march, rather like the well known fable - The Pied Piper. It's so infectious...you just have to go along with it!
