Story Behind The Song
It is a story of how as life goes on, there is always something on the country station that would make you feel better, or worse, but would always make you feel... something !!! My daughter, a teenager now, would always ask me why I always have the country station on the radio. She was slipping into the rap thing, which I could never relate to, and I guess I wrote this song to try to win her over to country. So I told her some family history, in a song.

Lyrics
(1rst Verse) Country Radio, Always sounds so good to me, I still remember, I was eight years old, My Daddy tought me harmony, To a good ol' country song, Now it seems like yesterday, I had my country radio on, That night my Daddy passed away. (Second verse) Sometimes I think of my mama, When I hear them country blues. She'd have her Country Radio on, Before she'd send us off to school. There was a time she told me "Son, If you live by what you play, You just might be someone, On Country Radio one day (Chorus) Country Radio, Always sounds so good to me. It's there wherever I go, Bringin' back old memories, Of a good ol' boy and a country girl, The windin' river down the road. Yeah I love to hear the sound, Of my Country Radio. (Third Verse) Sometimes I just think back, To the way things used to be. To the days of mom and dad, And that big ol' family. But now they're spread so far and wide, Been a few of us died, But there's one thing that I know... I won't never be alone if I got you, My Country Radio (Repeat Chorus) Copyright 2001 Michael W Danis
