We were playing a gig at The Retama Park Race Track. A fan and his girlfriend were up front watching the show. The willowy blonde girlfriend, dressed in a summer dress and big summer hat, kept talking to the boyfriend - presumedly bugging the crap out of him. He told her to leave him alone a couple of times then finally smacked her knocking off her hat. (Draw a Little Straw Hat reference in the tune). She was hot so he put up with her but she really seemed to annoy the guy.
