Lyrics

DADDY-O

Chorus:
Daddy addy addy- O, my hero
Teachin' me all you know- Oh Oh Oh
Showin' me the way I ought to go-----
Daddy, Daddy, please now hear me
I will always want you here right near me.
I am thanking God for our good home...
You make it so!

You go to work each day
While I stay home and play.
You buy us groceries
So we can eat-eat-eat-eat-eat.
You love our mom so much.
You have a tender touch.
And when I go to sleep,
You read me a Bible story. (chorus)

Oh Daddy I do fear
That if you were not here,
I don't know what I'd do,
'Cause Mom and I depend on you.
You fix it when it breaks;
You know just what it takes.
And when I disobey
You correct me right away. (chorus)

Oh Dad because of you
Here's what I've learned to do:
Ride on my two-wheel bike
and catch a fish and fly a kite.
I see you loving God
And now that's what I want:
To live my whole life through
Serving Jesus just like you. (chorus)

Every time I see it show a children's song I always happy to get hear another of your songs (at least if this is who I think it is)

Oh this was wonderful! Refreshing lyrics, sentiment without getting too "sappy" but really heartfelt and a total joy to listen. I could understand every word, not always easy with kids !!

Great for kids. Sounds real innocent.

Nice rhythm and melody; pretty sure kids will like it! The children did a good job singing, although they could barely make the lowest note. It sounds very natural. The text would make every daddy proud! Great Father's Day gift! It's also a little old-fashioned and assigns the father the role of the supporter, bread winner, and fixer of all problems. I hope you have a similar song about mothers ;) Gettin' jealous :)

I love this! Such a positive song with a great message. Nice tempo lift.
