Walk The Mile

Story Behind The Song

I was driving from my kids school when my ex-wife's attorney called me and informed me that my divorce papers were ready to be signed. I didn't want to be divorced and I knew that I could change. Driving those 10 miles was the longest ten miled of my life. I wanted to stay married but I felt like I was "Walking the Mile," to my death sentence.

Song Description

A man's feelings about going to sign his divorce papers and not wanting to be divorced. His actions throughout his marriage were not admirable but he wanted to change. Going to his divorce was like going to the electric chair.
